RAPP HYDEMA AS has been designing and manufacturing advanced hydraulic deck machinery for more than 40 years for the world-wide fishing fleet. The company was founded in 1907, is located in Bodø, Norway and has 100 employees. Our arctic location has given us an unique opportunity to develop and manufacture equipment for the marine sector. Today, hydraulic anchor-, mooring-, towing, research- and trawl winches with automatic control and monitoring systems are among our most important product areas. TOM SANDEL: R.I.P. 1953-2009 (5. jan 2010)
Tom Sandel, longtime General Manager of Rapp’s Dutch Harbor facility, passed away December 9, 2009 in Seattle. Tom had been, in every way, the face of Rapp Hydema to countless fishermen over the years, having worked for Rapp Hydema since 1992. Tom fought admirably in a twilight battle with cancer, enduring over a year of hardship.
