Rapp Hydema Syd AS
Rapp Hydema Syd AS is a part of the Rapp Marine Group, a considerable producer of hydraulic deck equipment an equipment to the off shore industry.
The history of the Rapp Marine Group goes back to the beginning of the 20th century and the foundation of the company "Aksjeselskapet Motoren Rap" in 1907. The company was situated in Oslo.
The company produced it's first winches in the middle of the 60th. The first power block was produced in 1965. This has later been soled in a number more than 10 000. In 1969, the company was moved to Fredrikstad, in the south-east part of Norway. It is still situated there. In 1980, the first automatic net hauler was sold, and Rapp Hydema Syd is today still one of the leading suppliers in the world when it comes to equipment for hauling and handling nets, pots, lines and so on.
Rapp Hydema Syd AS has customers among coastal fisheries and fish farmers, in addition to boat builders and yards world wide.

Portable Petrol Aggregate from Rapp Hydema Syd (29. jan 2004)
Rapp Hydema Syd has for many years produced a portable petrol aggregate with a hydraulic pump and tank mounted on it. This has made it possible also for boat owners with outboards engine to use hydraulic equipment.

Net Changing System (29. jul 2003)
A new system for fish farmers is developed by Rapp Hydema Syd AS.
The system consists of about 7 hauling points, in the shape of modified rope blokcs along the rail.
The rope blocks pulls the ropes which are sewn into the net. The net is then attached to hooks on the rail, for drying and inspection. This way, the net is out of the way.
The fish farmer only needs to invest in one set of rope blocks. These can be moved from cage to cage. This is economically beneficial, and it gives very good flexibility.
