Rapp Bomek has been producing and developing the same type of products since 1983. We have gradually increased our level of business to todays activity where we are now Europe's leading manufacturer of fire-rated heavy, medium and light duty steel doors to offshore and land-based installations. Together with our sister companies, we are in a position to offer the full range of fire doors (from A60 to H120) on a worldwide basis to our customers.
The company is situated in Bodø in Northern Norway and has 94 employees and annual turnover of USD 12 million. We have direct logistic lines to major ports and airports in Europe and close cooperation with all major European transport companies.
We are a DNV approved manufacturer with MED-D certificate according to European Marine Directive and we have approved internal control procedures within the guidelines of ISO 9001 and therefore guarantee quality to our customers.
Platform P51 in Brazil (1. nov 2007)
This is the first large order for Brazil, worth 8-10 million kroner, where a Rapp subsidiary – Rapp Bomek Brasil Indústria e Comércio LTDA – has been set up to meet the government’s demand for greater local sourcing.

Rapp Bomek will deliver 250 doors to Hydro’s Ormen Lange project. This deal is worth 12 million kroner.

Brazil’s national oil company is one of the largest in the world. And to secure a purchase contract with Petrobras, a high local content is required. For that reason, Rapp Bomek is busy getting licensed production on stream in the country.
